Trailside Community Teachers

These are our gracious and beloved Community Class Teachers who volunteer their time to provide Donation Based Classes to our studio.

Alexzandrea Hollinshed

Alexzandrea began practicing yoga in 2015, and she loved it instantly.  Early in her practice, she noticed a need for more accessible, beginner friendly, and affordable class options. In 2019 she got her 200-hour RYT certification from Elxr Yoga Lounge. Fast forward to 2022, over half of Alexzandrea’s teaching hours have been spent providing free and donation based classes.

She teaches an approachable vinyasa flow and especially encourages beginners to join in the practice, making sure to hone in on foundational poses and modifications.

Alexzandrea works for a small Bentonville-based account management company. In her spare time she enjoys journaling with a glass of red wine, spending time with friends, and the occasional cheeseburger.

Julie Ford

Julie is passionate about her yoga practice and since 2019 it has been an essential part of her life. It helps her to disconnect from the busyness of everyday life and tune into her body. It has also played a huge part in her journey with mental health, serving as a tool to relieve stress and cope with anxiety.

In the Winter of 2022, she decided to deepen her practice and complete her 200-hour YTT at Trailside. One of her goals is to create a welcoming space for every student who comes to class, helping them to be present in their bodies and have fun while doing it.

Julie works as a Client Success Manager at a company in Fayetteville. If she is not on her mat, you can find her riding her spending time with her 2 dogs and husband, riding her bike, and soaking up as much time outdoors as she can.

Brian O’Dea

Brian began his yoga journey as a New Year's resolution over a decade ago, and the practice profoundly affected and positively changed his life's course. He completed his 200-hour RYT course in 2020 while living in Medellin, Colombia, and continues to learn new movements and share his practice wherever he goes in this world.

Yoga for Brian means helping students recognize and deepen their unique mind-body connection through breathwork, mindful movements, and meditation. He loves to craft an inviting atmosphere and sequence for students of all levels to explore. One of his primary goals in class is for participants to discover and celebrate all the interesting, wonderful sensations within our bodies and carry that awareness and gratitude off the mats into their daily lives.

Jamie Dye

Jamie has been practicing yoga since 2014, obtaining her 200 RYT from Trailside in March 2023. Her classes include breath work, movement and meditation, allowing everyone a chance to sink into the present moment. Off the mat, Jamie is a mother of three incredible humans who keep her busy with all of their extracurricular adventures. Being a mother, Jamie has utilized yoga as a therapeutic tool to help balance her busy life, externally and internally. She enjoys live music, attending plays, and being outdoors. “My hope with teaching and practicing yoga is to encourage connection to first ourselves, and then to each other as a community. Finding an intention to practice and watching the transformation from habit, to second nature, and finally a lifestyle…that’s the greatest goal.”
